Opis kurzu

Your Key to Success in Dentistry

From A to Z – that is, from alloy to the zygomatic bone – our professional language course for dentistry teach you all , you learn the essential terminology. However, not only you learn these Latin and Ancient Greek terms, but also the professional language used by practicing dental personnel. The course is for overseas students/ trainees and qualified dentists and dental assistants.

During the course, you work through practical teaching texts with examples from everyday practice, medical reports, and anecdotes to reinforce your vocabulary. Your understanding is further deepened by supplementary exercises drawing on cranial and oral anatomy, as well as the historical foundations of dental practice. All content is aligned with the new licensing regulations for dentists, ensuring you acquire up-to-date knowledge.

A central component of the course is preparation for the Austrian Dental Chamber’s (ÖZÄK) specialized language exam. You work on typical exam questions, practice sample exams and receive targeted feedback on your performance. This intensive preparation course ensures that you are well-prepared for your upcoming language exam and enables you to achieve your professional goals.

Making Dentistry Understandable

Dental Terminology: Teaching essential terms from A to Z, including Latin and modern specialized language.

Communication Training: Practicing conversations with patients, colleagues from healthcare professions, and administrative staff.

Practical Teaching Texts: Realistic examples, medical reports, and anecdotes from everyday dental practice.

Exam Preparation: Working on exam questions, sample exams, and receiving targeted feedback for the specialized language exam of the Austrian Dental Chamber.

Updated Content: Adapted to the new licensing regulations for dentists.

In one of the most beautiful streets of the 7th district in Vienna.

The top renovated rooms of our old Viennese Biedermeier house from 1695 offer a comfortable and modern atmosphere to help you focus on your learning. Our offices contain five classrooms, each about 10 to 25 square meters. Every classroom is furnished with easy-to-move desks and chairs, as well as a cloakroom. On sunny days, our picturesque courtyard is also available for lessons outside. Our language institute is on the ground floor. The building itself is under monument protection, it is one of the oldest houses of Vienna. Right around the corner from the school, you will find numerous cafés, restaurants and bars as well as museums, theaters and cinemas.

Underground: U3 (Volkstheater or Neubaugasse), starting Autumn 2023: U2 and U3 (Volkstheater or Neubaugasse)
Buses: 48A (St Ulrichs Platz or Kellermanngasse) or 13A (Neubaugasse/Westbahnstraße or Burggasse/Neubaugasse)

If you're traveling by car, the Contipark Garage Museumsquartier or the Payuca Garage Kirchberggasse are available for a parking fee.

"I had a good experience and improved my language skills during my time there."

The location is practical and accessible. The facilities are new and some are still being renovated/improved. Some equipment such as headphones and microphones were not fully set up and were used on the last day of class. The instructor was really good, spoke clearly and explained things well. The setup of the classes was good. Ideally, it would be great to switch up class activities and make them a bit more dynamic so that it’s not as repetitive over time (such as creating dialogues or conversations). The staff is friendly and helpful, and I appreciated that they provided us with water for every class. Overall I had a very good experience. While there are things still being set up or renovated, I think this institute already has great potential for being a good resource for language learning.
