Opis kurzu

St Brelade's College prepares trainees for the Trinity College London CertTESOL - one of the most widely recognised teaching qualifications (accepted by the British Council & most language schools). The course runs in from the start of April for 4 weeks.

Our courses are intensive and practical, with the emphasis on hands-on teaching experience, together with tutorials on modern techniques and methodology which can be put into practice in the classroom.

What the course covers
- Teaching methods, language awareness and phonetics
- Learning a new foreign language
- Individual student profile
- Observed teaching practice

Pre course preparation: Distance learning module provided
Minimum age: 18 years
Minimum qualifications: A-levels/equivalent qualifications or the study potential to achieve these
Accommodation: If you are from outside of Jersey you can stay at our student residence or we can advise on other options
Employment: Teaching opportunities at St Brelade’s College following the course and abroad on one of our partnership programme.
* In the unlikely event that the minimum number required to run the course (6) is not reached, you will be contacted prior to the start date to be offered a refund or deferral.

Trainees are required to buy their own course books separately.

Škola bola založená v roku 1978 a je druhou generáciou rodinného typu so zameraním na poskytovanie kvalitných kurzov angličtiny pre dospelých a juniorov v príjemnom prostredí. Kurzy angličtiny sú kombinované s rozmanitým voľnočasovým programom zameraným na ostrov v priateľskom prostredí Jersey.

Naše programy sú navrhnuté tak, aby zahŕňali všetky aspekty pobytu vrátane výberu kurzov angličtiny, ubytovania, aktivít a starostlivosti o študentov, aby sa študenti mohli cítiť sebaisto a užiť si svoj čas v Jersey.

Umiestnenie školy

St. Brelade's College sa nachádza na nádhernom ostrove Jersey medzi južným Anglickom a Francúzskom. Tento malý ostrov sa môže pochváliť nádhernou scenériou vrátane kilometrov zlatých piesočných pláží, skalnatých pobreží a sviežej krajiny, ako aj bohatou históriou z hradov, neolitických pohrebísk a napoleonských pevností.

Naša celoročná škola sa nachádza nad malebnou prístavnou dedinou St Aubin, kde študenti tiež nájdu rezidenciu pre dospelých, kaviarne, reštaurácie a bary, obchody a základné vybavenie. Hlavné mesto St Helier je vzdialené iba 10 minút jazdy autom od zálivu.

Na Jersey sa dostanete trajektom zo St Malo vo Francúzsku alebo priamo z určitých európskych destinácií, napríklad z Düsseldorfu, Mníchova a Zürichu. Študenti môžu letieť aj cez väčšinu letísk vo Veľkej Británii.

"I enjoyed this experience"

My experience was positive. I was in a small group of five people. We did what we wanted to do, which was to talk a lot. Our teachers combined vocabulary and grammar with conversation.
I also liked the social program
The school's is nice. Peterborough is a good guest house.

"Very good experience at Jersey"

Classes and teacher were good because this year there was more work in groups, so it was less boring than last year.

The location was very good, but this year the teacher was stricter when we were late. My host mother, on the other hand, was reassuring.

Concerning the activities, there were a lot of choices and I was satisfied but I would prefer that there were more seats on the bus going to the site for the activities.

"It was very edifying and fun."

I stayed in very nice hotel. The environment of the school was fine. The teachers were friendly and committed. I particularly liked the lessons with Kirsti. She recognized my problems in listening in English and trained me very well. I wasn't able to take part in the activities because I was there with my dog. The quality of the CDs was sometimes poor. I liked the fact that the number of students in the group was low. Other than that, everything was good and I am considering returning next year.

Študenti, ktorí si úspešne rezervovali jazykový kurz a zaplatili poplatky dostanú CAS od . Prosím, všimnite si, že zákon Veľkej Británie nariaďuje, že CAS môže byť vydané iba študentom, ktorí zamýšľajú študovať anglický jazyk dlhšie ako 11 mesiacov

Ak študujete vo Veľkej Británii 11 mesiacov, alebo menej, musíte požiadať o špeciálne študentské návštevnícke víza nazývané Student Visitor Visa. Ako študent návštevník nebudete môcť počas štúdia pracovať na čiastočný úväzok.
